Company Description

THE OECD – Who we are, what we do

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF)

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is an autonomous intergovernmental body responsible for developing and promoting policies for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and the financing of weapons of mass destruction hosted by the OECD in Paris. The FATF has 38 countries and two regional organisations as members, along with nine FATF-style regional bodies (FSRBs), which together comprise a Global Network of over 200 countries and jurisdictions. The FATF is a member-led International Organisation, with about 80 Secretariat staff members.

The FATF has a Training Institute in Busan, Korea that supports capacity-building in the field of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism and proliferation (AML/CFT/CPF) by providing training on FATF standards and the mutual evaluation process to staff from FATF and FSRB member countries, and assessors and reviewers involved in the mutual evaluation process.

The FATF is looking for an experienced learning and development designer to lead the design of its expanding portfolio of training material, making use of the latest tools and theoretical concepts. The role reports to the Head of Training Unit.

This vacancy is open to nationals of OECD member countries and of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) member jurisdictions. A list of members of FATF can be found on the FATF website: http://www.fatf-gafi.org/pages/aboutus/membersandobservers/.

This position is based in Paris, France.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

The role will focus on the design of the FATF’s growing curriculum of e-Learning material, used by public officials from more than 200 countries and jurisdictions. The role will also involve design work to contribute to other in-person and blended training offered by the FATF. Ultimately, the successful candidate will play an important role improving understanding of measures to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and the financing of weapons of mass destruction globally.

  • Pedagogical design. Apply learning theory to structure new e-Learning products and other training materials so that they are engaging and stimulating, in close coordination with policy experts from different parts of the FATF Secretariat and from member countries.
  • Content Creation. Make use of the latest design tools to create training materials that are visually appealing and tie into broader FATF design themes, employing a variety of formats (videos/quizzes/storyboards).
  • Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Evaluation. Develop assessment mechanisms and analyse the data produced to draw insights from user experience, informing updates to training material.
  • Collaboration. Maintain close working relationships with peers at the OECD and other relevant International Organisations (UNODC, IMF, World Bank, Egmont Group), coordinating and exchanging on best practices to support production of high-quality training material and learning experiences.
  • Ad hoc design work – Depending on the background of the successful candidate, contribute to graphic design work for wider FATF publications and external communications materials on an ad hoc basis.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
