Custodial Worker Lead

Administration and Planning | FOD Operations Academic District Zone 1A and 1B Custodial

Job Description Serves as lead for custodial personnel; performs manual tasks such as cleaning carpets and mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and polishing floors; serves as lead for custodial workers in cleaning and routine care of buildings; stores and maintains equipment; makes decisions as to work methods and assignment of workers; provides a safe work environment; performs other duties as assigned; works 4:45 AM to 1:45 PM, but is subject to changes in shift, hours and/or days as operations dictate; subject to 24-hour emergency call; may work overtime. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.

Minimum Education Required Per Classified Civil Svc Specs

Required Qualifications Six months in Custodial Worker 2 title or equivalent experience; documentation of successful completion of department specific, Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write common vocabulary plus; documentation of 100 hrs. training in operation of cleaning equipment (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent.

Strongly desired, advanced custodian certification testing (examples include Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM) S.M.A.R.T. Program, or other certification program recognized in the cleaning industry as reputable).

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $17.55-$24.14 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
