Job Description

We are currently looking for talented Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Mental Health Residential facility located in Woodward Oklahoma. Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct and indirect professional nursing services in a variety of healthcare settings. Duties include conducting nursing assessments; developing and implementing care plans; providing nursing interventions and evaluations; delivering health-related education; coordinating case management; and carrying out medical regimens, including administering medications and treatments prescribed by individuals authorized to prescribe under state law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform direct and indirect nursing services, including obtaining and documenting patients’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician or authorized healthcare provider orders and applicable policies and regulations.
  • Perform a variety of technical nursing tasks to support the health and well-being of patients.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and communicate significant changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of direct-care staff on the assigned unit.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute medications on the unit in accordance with established medication administration procedures.
  • Provide patient education and support regarding health, medications, treatments, and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and records.
  • Follow established infection-control, safety, and patient-care standards.

  • Stacking Shift Differentials: $3.00 for nights, weekends and holiday

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: (Level III) Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and three (3) years of practical nursing experience. (Level II) Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one (1) years of practical nursing experience. (Level I) Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Special Requirements:

  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

About us: Northwest Center for Behavioral Health (NCBH) is located in Northwest Oklahoma! NCBH provides excellent treatment to all of Northwestern Oklahoma. We are licensed and Joint Commission accredited since 1974. We provide complete mental health and substance abuse services for the individuals of Northwest Oklahoma in our outpatient offices, transitional residential program and our inpatient psychiatric unit.
