Role: Community Manager

Location: Remote - Canada

About the role:

As a Junior Community Manager, you'll help deliver the social strategy for Canadian channels. You'll work alongside copywriters, designers and marketing teams, turning audience insight and platform trends into practical content recommendations. You'll learn from experienced colleagues, contribute to live work and take on more responsibility as your skills grow. Decisions on strategy and priorities are made with guidance from your team lead.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the delivery of the social media strategy across Canadian channels and multiple audiences.
  • Help plan, schedule and publish social content, and keep it consistent with tone of voice and global guidelines.
  • Contribute to content and channel recommendations based on audience needs, platform behaviour and business priorities.
  • Carry out ongoing social listening, and support regular tracking, reporting and analysis to produce clear insights.
  • Monitor engagement and suggest ways to improve content performance.
  • Work with copywriters and designers to develop relevant, engaging social content.
  • Partner with marketing teams to turn business needs into social opportunities.
  • Share ideas informed by competitive benchmarks and emerging digital and social trends.
  • Support the development of video approaches suited to each platform.
  • Follow global guidelines for creating and managing social channels.
  • Build your knowledge of audience behaviour, platform features and corporate tools, and share what you learn with the team.
  • Use Gen AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your work, with human review of every output.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Experience in social media, community management, digital marketing or a related field. This can come from work, study, volunteering or personal projects.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French.
  • Understanding of major social platforms, their audiences, features and content formats.
  • A social-first video mindset: you understand hooks, composition, storytelling and how platform algorithms shape performance.
  • The ability to turn social data and audience behaviour into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of social media KPIs and performance analysis.
  • Clear written communication and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative approach with creative teams, marketing partners and stakeholders.
  • Good organisation and the ability to manage several priorities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with social media management and listening tools.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
