The posting

JOB PURPOSE:  Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of guest service at Barchetta, a new coastal Italian chophouse overlooking Fort Lauderdale’s Intracoastal Waterway. This role ensures a seamless dining experience by providing quick, efficient, and professional support through Barback, Food Runner, and Dining Room Attendant services, while upholding Omni’s standards of quality and hospitality.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Bar Back

Stock and replenish bar supplies and beverages

Maintain adequate ice, glassware, paper supplies, and garnishes Keep bar and storage areas clean and organized Assist bartenders during service Restock coolers and liquor storage Remove trash and maintain cleanliness Assist with opening and closing duties Monitor inventory and communicate shortages Follow sanitation, safety, and service standards Assist with keg and equipment changes as needed Complete side work and restaurant opening/closing duties Perform other duties as assigned by management

Food Runner

Ability to learn and communicate ingredients and preparations of culinary dishes to guests Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately Ensure plates are properly presented before leaving the kitchen Assist servers with food delivery and table maintenance Communicate with kitchen and service staff regarding orders Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas Complete side work and restaurant opening/closing duties Follow food safety and sanitation standards Monitor guest needs and communicate requests to the server Perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 1 year food runner experience/bar back experience preferred. Other relevant hotel / food & beverage experience will be considered.  Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers, with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.  Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor. Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department. Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in an indoor/outdoor environments. Required repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.
