Overview: The Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for supporting the safety, security, and integrity of hotel operations through professional investigations, surveillance review, documentation, and fact-finding. The Supervisor works closely with Loss Prevention leadership, Human Resources, hotel management, and operational departments to investigate associate incidents, missing property, workplace injuries, policy concerns, and other matters requiring detailed review. The Supervisor is expected to conduct investigations objectively, discreetly, and professionally while maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation. Responsibilities: · Perform property patrols observing, reporting, and correcting safety and security deficiencies. · Respond to all emergency calls, following established emergency procedures. · Respond to complaints and requests for assistance in accordance with departmental and corporate policies and procedures. Provide assistance as necessary and support with outside agencies to ensure that assistance is received. · Provide factual, thorough, and professional reports through written documentation of all incidents, events and actions taken during the course of a shift. · Maintain integrity and continuity of lost and found articles as well as securing and releasing of found property in accordance with hotel policy and legal requirements. · Maintain confidentiality regarding any information or action required in the course of duties in accordance with corporate and legal requirements. · Perform initial investigations and follow-up to complaints, accidents and incidents. · Support Director of Loss Prevention to develop, implement and manage safety and loss control programs & initiatives. · Maintains complete knowledge of and compliance with departmental and resort policies/procedures. · Monitor initial investigations and follow-up to guest/employee complaints, accidents and incidents, entering information from these incidents into database as needed . · Provide and assist with all officer and resort wide safety/Loss Prevention training. · Creates and ensures daily completion of staff checklists and necessary reports. · Motivates staff and creates cohesive team. · Provide guest and owners with accurate information; be knowledgeable of all aspects within the hotel and surrounding area. · Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures. · Clean and maintain a hygienic and organized work area. · Administrative functions as related to the normal course of duties, i.e.: filing, report distribution photocopying, faxing, etc. as needed. · Filing information related to incidents/accidents. · Supervise employee locker audits. · Monitor and follow up on footage from Loss Prevention cameras. Qualifications: · Previous experience in hotel security, loss prevention, investigations, law enforcement, asset protection, or a related field preferred. · Hotel Loss Prevention experience is strongly preferred. · Experience conducting interviews or workplace investigations preferred. · Experience reviewing CCTV/surveillance systems preferred. · Strong written communication and report-writing skills. · Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and patterns. · Ability to remain objective and professional when investigating sensitive matters. · Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. · Strong organizational and time-management skills. · Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously. · Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel security, reporting, surveillance, and access-control systems. · Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays Professional Expectations · The Loss Prevention Supervisor must demonstrate a high level of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and impartiality. The position may have access to confidential associate information, surveillance footage, investigative records, and sensitive hotel information. · Information obtained through an investigation must only be shared with authorized individuals and must never be discussed unnecessarily with associates, guests, or other individuals. · The Loss Prevention Supervisor must conduct all interviews, inspections, surveillance reviews, and investigative activities consistently and professionally while following Omni policies, Human Resources procedures, and applicable laws.
