Role Objective: The HCM Sales Solutions Engineer serves as a critical member of the Sales organization, partnering closely with Account Executives and Revenue leaders to showcase the value of our solutions through engaging, consultative product demonstrations. This role bridges the gap between sales, product, and customer needs by translating business challenges into compelling solution presentations that drive client interest, accelerate sales cycles, and support revenue growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong presentation skills, business acumen, and technical aptitude with a passion for creating exceptional buyer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Product Demonstrations & Sales Support
- Deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations to prospective clients across various industries and business segments.
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to understand customer needs, pain points, and business objectives.
- Tailor demonstrations to highlight key product capabilities that align with specific client challenges and priorities.
- Present complex solutions in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner.
- Respond to prospect questions regarding functionality, workflows, integrations, and implementation considerations.
Solution Consulting
- Conduct discovery sessions with prospects to understand business requirements and desired outcomes.
- Assist in mapping customer challenges to product capabilities and recommended solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to develop demo strategies for strategic opportunities.
- Support proof-of-concept initiatives and solution validation efforts when applicable.
Demo Environment Management
- Maintain demo environments, data sets, and presentation materials to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Create and continuously enhance demo scripts, use cases, and customer-centric storytelling content.
- Stay current on new product releases, feature enhancements, and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management and Marketing to provide customer feedback and market insights.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Implementation teams to ensure alignment between the sales process and customer onboarding experience.
- Assist with webinars, trade shows, conferences, and other customer-facing events as needed.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Demo Engineer, Solutions Architect, Product Specialist, or related customer-facing role.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage executive-level audiences.
- Experience conducting software, SaaS, HR technology, payroll, HCM, benefits administration, or enterprise platform demonstrations preferred.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and customer outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market sales organizations.
- Background in HR Technology, HCM, Payroll, Benefits Administration, PEO, or Workforce Management solutions.
- Familiarity with discovery methodologies and consultative selling approaches.
- Experience using CRM and sales technologies such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms.
- Prior experience working in a high-growth SaaS or technology organization.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
