The posting

Most of our clients have built their companies from the ground up. OneDigital has too. We stand alongside these business owners, providing peace of mind that if the unthinkable happens, they are protected. We are their trusted partner to help them manage risks from weather, injuries or other unforeseeable surprises. This gives our clients the ability to focus on what’s most important to them and their employees: doing their best work and living their best lives.

If you are looking for a career where you are helping people and businesses thrive, even during times of uncertainty, OneDigital is the right career for you.

Our Newest Opportunity:

The Risk Management Consultant serves as a strategic advisor and proactive risk partner for OneDigital's clients and internal teams. This role combines enterprise risk strategy with hands-on safety and loss control expertise to deliver measurable risk improvement outcomes. The consultant works closely with producers, account executives, and insurance carrier partners to identify, assess, and mitigate risk — ultimately protecting clients' people, assets, and financial performance. Reporting to the VP of Risk Strategy and Innovation, this role is a key differentiator in OneDigital's ability to win and retain business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Advisory & Enterprise Risk Management

  • Conducts comprehensive enterprise risk assessments to identify exposures across client operations and industries.
  • Develops tailored risk improvement strategies and presents actionable recommendations to client leadership.
  • Supports insurance program structure decisions by providing risk data, analytics, and strategic guidance.
  • Benchmarks client risk profiles against industry peers to identify gaps, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Translates complex risk data into executive-level stewardship reports that communicate program value and improvement progress.
  • Partners with producers and account executives by equipping them with risk intelligence and insights to win new business and retain existing clients.

Loss Control & Safety Consulting

  • Conducts on-site safety surveys, facility inspections, and hazard identification across a variety of industries and client locations.
  • Provides OSHA compliance guidance to help clients navigate regulatory requirements and avoid citations and penalties.
  • Leads safety program development, including policy creation, training frameworks, emergency action plans, and safety committee support.
  • Manages workers' compensation risk, including claims trend analysis, return-to-work program development, and modification factor improvement strategies.
  • Delivers industry-specific risk consulting tailored to clients' unique operational environments, exposures, and regulatory landscape.
  • Manages carrier relationships proactively, engaging with insurance company loss control partners to leverage their services, resources, and expertise on behalf of clients.
  • Documents and tracks risk profile improvements over time to demonstrate measurable program value and support renewal negotiations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the broader OneDigital Risk Strategy team to develop and refine service offerings and best practices.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and champions carrier loss control partnerships to improve client/carrier relationships and risk management outcomes.
  • Represents OneDigital in client meetings, industry events, and carrier forums as a risk subject matter expert.
  • Champions risk management resources and AI, combined with expertise, to provide data-driven insights for clients and prospects
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, loss control, insurance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance products, risk financing, and program structures.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting loss control surveys, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation regulations, and industry safety best practices.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret loss data, exposure information, and risk metrics to develop actionable strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to C-suite and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), risk management, and AI tools
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Active Property & Casualty broker’s license, or willing to obtain a license within 30 days of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional designations strongly preferred, including one or more of the following: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM), or equivalent.
  • Specialized experience in any of the following areas: knowledge of property risk engineering principles, fire protection systems, natural hazard exposures, and CAT risk assessment methodologies; relevant industry knowledge in transportation and/or certifications in Smith System, and/or relevant industry certifications in cyber risk management.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
