JOB SUMMARY

Join ONEOK as a Mechanic - Intermediate and play a critical role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of natural gas gathering, processing, compression, and pipeline facilities throughout the region. This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a variety of fixed and rotating equipment, including natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, and associated mechanical systems. The successful candidate will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, conduct equipment performance evaluations and emissions testing, interpret technical drawings and repair documentation, and maintain accurate maintenance records while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.

This position is based on-site in Watford City, North Dakota, and candidates must reside within approximately one hour of the reporting location. The expected work schedule is four 10-hour days, working either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with participation in an on-call rotation from Wednesday to Wednesday approximately once every 11 weeks. Day travel throughout the coverage area is required.

In addition to a competitive compensation package, this location offers a $1,500 monthly geographical allowance, eligibility for a 7% Short-Term Incentive (STI) plan, and 6% profit sharing. Job Profile Summary

Performs activities related to mechanical work on equipment at compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation and/or gas processing facilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations including, but not limited to:Internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers Compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment
  • Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment. Conduct performance analyses, including emissions testing
  • Order and/or secure parts and supplies
  • Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records including, but not limited to:Work logs and service orders Inspection reports Engine/equipment maintenance and repair records Pressure readings Material and supply orders Engine and compressor oil analysis reports
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

  • Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to position
