The posting

At OneSpan, we specialize in digital identity and anti-fraud solutions that create exceptional and secure experiences.

• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets in collaboration with product and engineering teams.

• Automate toil: identify repetitive manual tasks and eliminate them through scripting and tooling (Python, Bash, Go).

• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.

• Participate in blameless post-mortems and drive root cause analysis for production incidents.

• Collaborate with software engineers to review system designs for reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

• 5-7 years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, or a related infrastructure/platform engineering role.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Java, Go, or Bash).

• Hands-on experience running workloads on Amazon EKS in production, including node groups, IAM roles for service accounts (IRSA), and upgrades.

• Working knowledge of Istio service mesh: traffic management, mTLS, VirtualServices, DestinationRules, and sidecar injection.

• Solid experience with AWS core services: VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, ECS, ECR, ASM, Lamda, CloudWatch, and AWS Load Balancers.

• Solid hands-on experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, Opentofu, CloudFormation for IaC.

• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD: writing and maintaining GitLab pipelines, runners, environments, and merge request workflows (experience with GitHub Actions is a plus).

• Hands-on experience with Argo & Kargo CD : writing and maintaining pipelines, promotions

• Evaluate, introduce, and champion new tools and frameworks for infrastructure automation, chaos engineering, and capacity planning.

• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership to align platform capabilities with business objectives.

• Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, TLS).

• Strong understanding of IAM roles, TLS Certificates, LGTM Stack.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with GitLab's broader DevSecOps platform: Container Registry, Dependency Scanning, or GitLab Environments.

• Familiarity with AWS FinOps practices: cost allocation tags, Savings Plans, and Compute Optimizer.

• Relevant certifications: CKA, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.

• Excellent communication skills — able to articulate complex reliability trade-offs to both engineering and stakeholders

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
