Department: Wellness & Fitness Position: Pilates Instructor Reports To: Wellness Centre Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Pilates Instructor to join our wellness centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and engaging Pilates sessions tailored to clients’ individual fitness levels, goals, and wellness needs. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Pilates techniques, body alignment, posture correction, flexibility, core strength, and overall physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group Pilates sessions, tailoring exercises to clients’ fitness levels, goals, and physical abilities.
  • Deliver Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates sessions, depending on qualifications and the centre’s requirements.
  • Assess clients’ fitness levels, posture, flexibility, mobility, and core strength before designing suitable programmes.
  • Develop personalised Pilates plans to improve strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness.
  • Demonstrate correct exercise techniques, breathing patterns, posture, and body alignment.
  • Ensure all sessions are conducted safely and in accordance with established fitness and wellness standards.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and adjust exercise programmes based on their performance and feedback.
  • Provide appropriate modifications for clients with varying fitness levels and physical limitations, within the scope of professional qualifications.
  • Maintain Pilates equipment, ensure cleanliness, and follow health and safety procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to encourage engagement, retention, and long-term wellness goals.
  • Collaborate with other wellness professionals to provide a holistic client experience.
  • Maintain accurate client records, attendance, progress notes, and session schedules.
  • Promote Pilates classes and wellness programmes to support client engagement and centre growth.
  • Participate in workshops, training sessions, and continuing professional development activities.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Recognised Pilates Instructor certification from an accredited training provider.
  • Specialisation in Mat Pilates and/or Reformer Pilates, as required by the centre.
  • Previous experience working as a Pilates Instructor in a wellness centre, fitness studio, gym, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, posture, movement patterns, and exercise modifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
  • Ability to motivate clients and deliver personalised, professional sessions.
  • Strong understanding of exercise safety, hygiene, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business requirements.
  • Relevant UAE professional approvals or permits, where applicable to the role and facility.
