HEAD OF PRODUCT MARKETING

🎨 ABOUT OPENART

OpenArt is a gen AI creative platform used by millions worldwide. We’re building the next generation of creative tools powered by cutting-edge AI, enabling anyone to create videos, images, visuals, characters, and stories with unprecedented speed and imagination.

We believe the future of creativity is AI-native, and we’re shaping that future.

🚀 WHY JOIN OPENART

- Market products at the frontier of generative AI. You’ll work on rapidly evolving AI products that are changing how people create.

- Shape how a new category is understood. You’ll turn complex AI capabilities into simple, compelling stories that resonate with creators, marketers, and businesses.

- Work directly with Product. You’ll be deeply embedded in the product development process rather than receiving a finished product to market.

- High ownership, real impact. You’ll own major launches and directly influence product positioning, adoption, and growth.

🎯 ABOUT THE ROLE

OpenArt is looking for a Head of Product Marketing to define how our products are positioned, launched, and adopted.

Sitting at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Growth, and our customers, you will deeply understand our users, the generative AI landscape, and our product capabilities—and translate those insights into compelling positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.

This is not a traditional product marketing role. Generative AI is evolving extremely quickly, and we want someone who is already deeply immersed in the space. The ideal candidate has recently worked at a generative AI startup, actively uses AI products, and understands the models, products, competitors, and behaviors shaping the market.

⚙️ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Core Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in product marketing or closely related roles

- Recent experience working at a generative AI startup or AI-native company

- Deep understanding of the generative AI ecosystem, products, models, and competitive landscape

- Experience owning positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and product launches

- Strong product instincts and ability to understand sophisticated technical capabilities quickly

- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to make complex technology simple and compelling

- Strong understanding of customer research, segmentation, competitive intelligence, and market analysis

- Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Growth, and Creative teams

- Highly hands-on and comfortable moving quickly in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment

- AI-native in how you research, create, analyze, and work

Nice to Have

- Experience marketing AI image, video, creative, or agentic products

- Experience with consumer subscription or product-led growth businesses

- Experience marketing products to creators, marketers, SMBs, or creative professionals

- Strong personal interest in AI-generated content and creative tools

🛠 WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Own Positioning and Messaging: Define how OpenArt’s products and capabilities are positioned across key customer segments.

- Lead Product Launches: Own go-to-market strategy and execution for major product, feature, and model launches.

- Understand the Market: Develop deep knowledge of users, competitors, models, emerging AI capabilities, and broader market trends.

- Bring the Customer into Product: Conduct customer research and translate insights into product, positioning, and go-to-market recommendations.

- Drive Product Adoption: Partner with Growth and Product to improve activation, adoption, engagement, and retention.

- Create Product Narratives: Develop compelling stories, demos, landing-page messaging, launch materials, and other assets that make OpenArt’s value clear.

- Enable Marketing Channels: Partner with Content, Social, Creator, Growth, and Brand teams to bring product stories to market consistently.

- Measure and Iterate: Track launch and adoption performance and continuously improve our product marketing playbook.

- Shape Product Strategy: Bring market and customer insights back to Product and leadership to help inform what we build next.

🌍 WORK SETUP

- Based in San Carlos, CA. This role is required to be local to our San Carlos office.

- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
