The posting

OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.

The Position

As an SDET at OPSWAT, you will help protect the world's critical infrastructure by making sure our cybersecurity products are built to the highest quality standards. You will work as an engineer first. You will design and build automation frameworks and tools, and you will be involved in every stage of the software development life cycle, from requirement review through release.

We are actively bringing AI into how we test. You will help define and drive that change, using AI-assisted tools to speed up test design, automation development, and defect analysis. This role is also designed as a growth path. We are looking for someone who wants to strengthen their engineering skills and, over the long term, move into a Software Engineer role within OPSWAT.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites, with a primary focus on converting existing manual test cases into reliable, scalable automation.
  • Use and extend the existing test framework, and contribute improvements to its architecture, reusability, and maintainability.
  • Apply AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) across the testing workflow, including generating test cases, writing and refactoring automation code, analyzing logs, and triaging failures. Share best practices with the team.
  • Analyze and review product requirements and technical designs to identify risks and testability concerns early.
  • Write and review detailed test plans and test cases, and carry out manual testing where it adds the most value.
  • Perform a wide range of testing types: API, functional, integration, regression, compatibility, usability, performance, and security testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so the team gets fast, continuous quality feedback.
  • Handle support escalations by reproducing customer issues, creating clear bug reports, and helping troubleshoot root causes.
  • Report, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with developers.
  • Over time, take on development tasks such as internal tools, test utilities, and product code, as part of your path toward a Software Engineer role.

What We Need From You

  • Experience in software testing with a strong QA mindset and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience writing automation using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and/or programming languages (Java, C#, C/C++).
  • Solid understanding of programming fundamentals (OOP, data structures, debugging), with a genuine interest in growing into a Software Engineer.
  • Practical experience using AI coding and productivity tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) in daily work, and openness to finding new ways to apply AI in testing.
  • Experience testing software across operating systems (Windows, Linux) and browsers.
  • Experience with API testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, pytest).
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile team.
  • Good written English communication.

It Would Be Nice If You Have

  • Good verbal English communication.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, TeamCity, Git, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience building or maintaining a test automation framework from scratch.
  • Experience with performance or security testing tools.
  • System and/or network administration skills (Microsoft and/or LPI certifications are a plus).
  • Cybersecurity domain experience, such as file security, device security, or network security.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
