RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Staff Development

Are you a passionate nursing leader who loves mentoring, educating, and empowering others? Join our team!

We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Staff Development Coordinator. This individual will play a key role in developing our nursing staff, promoting quality resident care, and ensuring our team has the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct orientation and onboarding for new nursing employees.
  • Develop and provide ongoing staff education, in-service training, and competency assessments.
  • Support compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and clinical standards.
  • Assist with infection prevention, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor staff competencies and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to promote resident safety and high-quality care.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with clinical leadership and daily nursing operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Nursing leadership, staff education, or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing nursing professionals.
  • Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, clinical practices, and documentation requirements.
