Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Dalton, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires a proactive individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operation of a forklift.
  • Perform bulk truck loading duties.
  • Perform packaging and shipping duties.
  • Perform Machine Operating
  • Perform Material Prepping
  • Perform Material Blending
  • Perform Material Bagging
  • Perform TPM processes.
  • Requires ability to achieve and maintain OSHA training.
  • Proper use of PPE; hard hat, eyewear, steel toe shoes and 5-point safety harness to ensure personal safety.
  • Housekeeping within the plant and all other ground areas surrounding.
  • Operate tools to include but not limited to power tools, weed-eaters, and other manual tools as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Quality Control — Visual inspection of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality.
  • Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Climbing – Able to climb ladders.
  • Oral Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Able to frequently climb stairs, ladders, etc.
  • Able to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift/carry loads up to 55 lbs.

Work Environment

This position involves constant exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold. Candidates must be able to wear all required safety equipment, including an N95 mask, and be comfortable working in various environmental conditions.

Shift Requirements

Candidates must be flexible to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet production demands.
