Maintenance Specialist Location: WinnipegStatus: Full-TimeReports To: Maintenance SupervisorHours of work: Monday to Friday 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm Position Summary Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This role requires the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose and resolve equipment issues related to pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The successful candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, takes initiative, and maintains a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial production and facility equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, job specifications, and technical drawings to determine work procedures and troubleshoot equipment issues. Assist with equipment installations, including laying out and preparing foundations and work areas as required. Maintain and execute preventative maintenance programs for production and facility equipment Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment Support contractors and external service providers during repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance activities
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Industrial Electrician, or related trade certification considered an asset. Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Experience using computerized maintenance systems and computer-based drawing software is considered an asset. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
