Location: Orlando, Florida – Primarily on-site with future hybrid flexibility available based on manager approval and business needs.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Florida and have at least 3 years of direct commercial/business litigation experience in a law firm environment.

Job Description

  • Manage commercial litigation matters from case inception through resolution, trial, or settlement.
  • Develop litigation strategies for complex business disputes, including breach of contract, partnership disputes, business torts, and construction-related matters.
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and appellate briefs.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
  • Manage all phases of discovery, including complex document production and e-discovery.
  • Appear in state and federal court for hearings, conferences, and oral arguments.
  • Assist with trials, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by providing legal guidance, strategic recommendations, and case updates.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to deliver outstanding legal representation.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • 3+ years of commercial/business litigation experience in a law firm.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience managing litigation matters with increasing independence.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
