Location: Cleveland, OH. This is a fully on-site opportunity, ideal for paralegals who enjoy working closely with attorneys, collaborating with colleagues, and being an essential part of an active litigation team.

Note: Candidates must have 3+ years of civil defense litigation experience. Experience reviewing and organizing medical records is preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of civil defense litigation, from initial case preparation through resolution.
  • Draft, prepare, and organize pleadings, discovery documents, correspondence, and litigation materials.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and other litigation-related activities.
  • Assist with discovery responses, document production, and case file management.
  • Review, summarize, and organize medical records and other case-related documentation as needed.
  • Prepare trial materials, exhibits, witness files, and supporting documentation.
  • Track case deadlines, maintain accurate records, and help ensure litigation matters move forward efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and other parties involved in litigation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on civil defense litigation experience.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, discovery, and case preparation.
  • Experience preparing litigation documents and supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines accurately.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
  • Medical record review experience is a plus, not a requirement.
