Location

Sacramento, CA. We offer a flexible hybrid/remote work environment after initial in-office training, with occasional office attendance for trial preparation and other assignments. Enjoy the independence of remote work while staying connected to a collaborative legal team.

Note

We're looking for a motivated paralegal with hands-on civil litigation experience who is comfortable supporting defense-side matters, managing competing priorities, and working both independently and collaboratively. Candidates must be available for initial in-office training and occasional in-person assignments in Sacramento.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation defense, from initial case evaluation through settlement or trial.
  • Manage discovery, including drafting and organizing requests, responses, and document production.
  • Review and summarize medical records, case files, and other important evidence.
  • Assist with cases involving personal injury, premises liability, trucking and transportation, habitability, and other liability matters.
  • Coordinate deadlines, maintain case files, and help keep litigation moving efficiently.
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, exhibits, and trial materials.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
  • Take ownership of assignments while contributing to a responsive, team-oriented practice.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Defense-side litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with discovery, litigation support, case management, and document preparation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Comfortable managing assignments independently in a hybrid or remote environment.
  • Willingness to attend initial training and occasional in-office assignments in Sacramento.
  • Experience in personal injury defense, insurance defense, or general liability litigation is a plus.
