Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Join a respected North Texas law firm with sophisticated litigation work and a strong regional reputation.
  • Handle meaningful construction and commercial litigation matters with direct partner-level guidance.
  • Gain hands-on experience with hearings, pleadings, motions, lien claims, payment bond claims, and client strategy.
  • Work in a collaborative environment where attorneys are supported by senior lawyers, paralegals, and staff.
  • Build and further develop your litigation practice within an established firm platform.

Location: This is an in-office role in McKinney, TX, at least initially. After a period of training and integration with the team, remote flexibility may be available.

Note: Candidates must have an active Texas law license and 6+ years of litigation experience, preferably with construction litigation, commercial litigation, lien claims, payment bond claims, or related business litigation matters.

About Us

We are a well-established, multi-practice North Texas law firm serving businesses, individuals, and organizations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and across Texas. Our litigation team handles construction disputes, commercial litigation, contract matters, business disputes, lien claims, payment bond claims, and other complex civil matters. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Handle construction and commercial litigation matters under the direction of senior attorneys.
  • Work on pre-litigation construction lien claims and payment bond claims.
  • Review client issues, analyze legal options, and help determine the best course of action.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, proceedings, negotiations, and case strategy discussions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, correspondence, settlement agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, senior attorneys, paralegals, staff, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Organize and maintain accurate case files to support attorneys, paralegals, and the broader litigation team.
  • Help resolve cases efficiently while delivering practical, client-focused legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required.
  • Active Texas law license required.
  • 6+ years of litigation experience required.
  • Construction litigation, commercial litigation, lien claims, payment bond claims, contract disputes, or business litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work closely with senior attorneys while managing meaningful litigation responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
  • ABA involvement is a plus but should not be treated as a hard requirement unless confirmed by the client.

Why You Will Love Working Here

  • You will work on substantive litigation matters instead of being limited to repetitive support work.
  • You will receive guidance from experienced senior attorneys while continuing to build your own practice.
  • You will join a firm with strong systems, professional staff, and a collaborative legal team.
  • You will gain exposure to construction, commercial, contract, and business litigation matters in a growing market.
  • You will have the opportunity to build long-term roots with a respected North Texas firm.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
