Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Kansas and have at least 1+ years of experience in medical malpractice or civil litigation.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in medical malpractice and civil litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Interview witnesses and work with expert witnesses to build strong case strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, attorneys, and support staff throughout each case.
  • Advise clients regarding legal rights, litigation strategy, and case developments.
  • Assist with managing litigation matters from initial filing through resolution.
  • Maintain organized case files while ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Kansas Bar license in good standing.
  • 1+ years of medical malpractice or civil litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
