Irvine, CA (On-site)

Join us at our Irvine office, where you'll serve as a key regional leader. This is a primarily on-site position with regular travel to other Southern California offices and occasional out-of-state travel, up to 25%.

We're looking for an experienced operations leader with a law firm background, proven staff management experience, and the ability to oversee multiple office locations. Knowledge of California employment regulations and hands-on HR operations experience are important for success in this role.

Job Description

As our Regional Operations Manager, you'll lead day-to-day business operations across multiple offices, guide administrative teams, and partner directly with firm leadership to create a more efficient, connected, and successful organization.

  • Lead regional law firm operations, including office administration, facilities, staffing, vendors, and operational planning.
  • Manage, mentor, and support legal assistants and administrative staff, ensuring effective workload distribution and coverage.
  • Develop and streamline processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and service across multiple offices.
  • Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee support.
  • Oversee California workplace compliance, including wage and hour practices, employee leave, and safety requirements.
  • Manage regional budgets, review expenses, and work with finance leadership to maintain strong financial oversight.
  • Coordinate attorney and team onboarding to ensure smooth transitions and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with managing partners and senior leadership to identify challenges, implement solutions, and support continued growth.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of office or operations leadership experience, including law firm experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising administrative or legal support staff.
  • Experience overseeing operations across multiple office locations.
  • 2+ years of hands-on HR experience, including recruiting, employee relations, and leave administration.
  • Working knowledge of California employment regulations and workplace compliance.
  • Experience with budgeting, expense management, and operational process improvement.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with legal practice management systems, HRIS/payroll platforms, and professional HR certifications is a plus.
