  • Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the United States, with required immigration court appearances.
  • Handle a diverse mix of USCIS, humanitarian, and removal defense matters rather than being limited to one area of immigration law.
  • Join a collaborative team that values strong judgment, accountability, compassionate client service, and high-quality legal work.

Location: Nationwide, fully remote, with immigration court appearances as required. You may live anywhere in the United States as long as you hold an active law license in good standing in any U.S. state and have authority to practice before EOIR. Candidates must be willing and able to attend required court hearings, including in-person appearances when necessary.

Note: Candidates must have 10+ years of U.S. immigration law experience, including substantial hands-on removal-defense experience before immigration courts, as well as experience with USCIS and humanitarian immigration matters. This senior managing-attorney position requires proven experience supervising attorneys and paralegals while independently managing an active docket. Candidates should be prepared to provide the date and hearing type of their most recent immigration court appearance.

About Us

We provide compassionate, thoughtful, and results-focused immigration legal services to individuals and families navigating complex immigration matters. Our team combines strong legal advocacy with personalized client service, and we believe experienced attorneys should have the autonomy to make sound decisions while helping develop the professionals around them. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Independently manage an active immigration docket from strategy through filing, hearing, and resolution.
  • Represent clients in removal-defense proceedings before EOIR, including master calendar hearings, individual hearings, bond hearings, and other required court appearances.
  • Handle USCIS, humanitarian, and removal-defense matters, including family petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, asylum, withholding of removal, CAT claims, cancellation of removal, detained matters, and naturalization.
  • Develop case strategies, prepare clients for hearings, and advocate effectively in immigration court.
  • Supervise attorneys and paralegals, establishing clear expectations for deadlines, work quality, case preparation, and hearing readiness.
  • Review and strengthen legal filings, motions, RFEs, NOIDs, and supporting evidence before submission.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding case theory, evidence, and filing strategy.
  • Handle complex client conversations with professionalism, judgment, and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate deadlines and case activity through MyCase and internal production calendars.
  • Mentor attorneys and help strengthen the quality and consistency of the immigration practice.

Qualifications

  • Authority to practice before EOIR.
  • Proven experience directly supervising and mentoring attorneys, along with oversight of paralegals.
  • Willingness and ability to handle required immigration court appearances, including in-person hearings when necessary.
  • Strong independent docket management, litigation strategy, and deadline management skills.
  • Experience with detained and non-detained immigration hearings preferred.
  • Texas Bar membership or Board Certification in Immigration and Nationality Law preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are helpful but not required.

Why You Will Love Working Here

  • Remote flexibility from anywhere in the United States.
  • High-level autonomy and meaningful decision-making authority.
  • Opportunity to lead, mentor, and develop other immigration professionals.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
