Location:

Hybrid position based in Brooklyn, NY.

Note:

Must have an active bar license in any U.S. state and 3+ years of directly relevant experience in estate planning and taxable estates.

Job Description

  • Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning strategies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans involving wills, trusts, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Analyze taxable estates and identify opportunities for effective estate and tax planning.
  • Counsel clients regarding federal and state estate, gift, and related tax considerations.
  • Draft and review complex estate planning and tax documents.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and provide clear, practical legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, financial professionals, and other advisors on complex planning matters.
  • Manage multiple sophisticated matters independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Stay current on developments in estate, gift, trust, and tax law.

Qualifications

  • Active bar license in any U.S. state.
  • 3+ years of estate planning experience.
  • 3+ years of experience handling taxable estates and/or estate tax planning.
  • Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax concepts.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated client matters.
  • Strong judgment and a high level of professionalism.
