Note: Candidates must have 1+ years of professional tax return preparation experience, hands-on experience with CCH Axcess Tax or ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Engagement, and the ability to work in our Encino office Monday through Thursday.

Job Description

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, high-net-worth clients, trusts, partnerships, and S corporations.
  • Manage tax preparation assignments from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Utilize CCH Axcess Tax or ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Engagement to prepare and organize tax engagements.
  • Collaborate with experienced CPAs on tax planning, compliance, and complex client needs.
  • Research tax matters, help resolve questions, and support multistate tax filings.
  • Maintain organized workpapers, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with our team.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional tax preparation experience, preferably in a CPA or public accounting firm.
  • Hands-on experience with CCH Axcess Tax or ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Engagement.
  • Experience preparing individual tax returns and exposure to trusts, partnerships, or S corporations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage assignments independently.
  • Accounting degree and CPA license or CPA candidacy preferred, but not required.
  • Multistate tax preparation experience is a plus.
