About Ornn

Ornn is building the financial infrastructure for AI compute. Our price indices are live on Bloomberg Terminal. We structure and trade compute hedging instruments. And we're now building a platform that brings exchange-grade mechanics like order management, matching, scheduling, and settlement to how compute capacity gets reserved and allocated. We're a lean team in New York, backed by leading venture and strategic investors.

About the Role

You’ll design the products buyers and sellers use to discover, price, trade, and manage compute.

The work spans both market-facing and infrastructure-heavy workflows: listings and search, pricing and quotes, reservations and contracts, delivery tracking, portfolio management, and the systems behind the capacity itself.

You will sit with the people who run the market, learn how compute actually gets priced and delivered, decide what the product should be, and then build the design foundation the rest of the company works from. You will partner directly with engineering, product, and the markets team, and your work will be the surface customers judge Ornn by.

What You'll Do

Designing intuitive experiences for complex compute and market workflows Simplifying technical systems and concepts into clear, usable products Shaping how users discover, buy, sell, price, and transact compute Making complex data and market information easy to understand Designing for a wide range of users, from technical operators to less specialized customers Building interaction patterns and design systems that can scale with the product Turning ambiguous problems into clear product direction through customer insight, iteration, and close collaboration with the team

What We're Looking For

Requirements

2 or more years of working experience and have owned meaningful product areas independently. You deeply care about the needs of customers, and implications/the experience of your designs. You have strong opinions but can still kill them, You have strong visual taste and care about creating visually appealing interfaces Comfort working close to engineering, whether you prototype in code yourself or collaborate tightly enough that handoff is seamless. You enjoy turning ambiguous, conceptual problems into clear mental models and intuitive flows that help users understand the product quickly. Genuine curiosity about the compute market. You do not need to know it yet, but you need to want to learn it. Willingness to work in person in New York.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience in developer tools, infrastructure products, fintech, trading, marketplaces, or data-heavy software Enterprise products that still feel exceptionally well-designed Designing workflows with complex states and permissions Data visualization Building or evolving a design system Frontend development or working directly in code Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, cloud or neocloud markets, commodities, energy, or market microstructure. Experience at a company that grew quickly while you were there

Why This Role Matters

The compute market is early enough that no one has settled how it should be traded, and the interface is a large part of that answer. The screens where someone chooses between four partly matching listings, understands a price, or tracks whether their capacity is actually running are what make a market usable or not.

Compensation and Benefits

Benefits include competitive salary, meaningful equity, health coverage, free meals, and additional benefits. This is a leadership role with significant strategic impact and equity upside.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Ornn is committed to building a diverse team. We evaluate candidates based on their ability to do the work, not on pedigree or background. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
