Senior Planning Manager

Job Description A household name in its industry is hiring a Senior Planning Manager. This role suits an expert in project controls looking to lead planning for complex, large-scale healthcare facility developments. You will join a well-established construction firm that prioritizes high-level project oversight and strategic schedule management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities • Develop and maintain master construction programmes for major hospital and healthcare infrastructure development projects. • Monitor project progress against established baselines to identify critical path risks and potential schedule delays. • Coordinate with site managers and subcontractors to integrate specialist work schedules into the master programme. • Prepare comprehensive progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules for senior management and project stakeholders. • Implement effective recovery programmes to mitigate delays and keep critical deliverables on track for completion. • Provide expert analysis of design changes and project variations to assess their overall time impact. • Manage and mentor planning engineers to ensure high standards of project control and data accuracy.

Job Requirements • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related building discipline. • Over 10 years of professional experience in large-scale construction planning and project controls. • Proven track record managing complex hospital or healthcare facility construction projects. • Expert-level proficiency in construction scheduling software and modern project control systems. • Strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary subcontractor teams and complex procurement schedules. • Deep understanding of critical path analysis, delay mitigation, and technical project documentation. • Excellent communication skills for coordinating design, engineering, and site execution teams.
