Workplace Safety Health Coordinator

Job Description Straight to the point: this job needs a hands-on Workplace Safety Health Coordinator. You will join an established construction firm to manage site safety and ensure full legal compliance. This role suits a proactive safety professional who enjoys leading teams and maintaining safe work environments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities • Develop and maintain detailed risk assessments and safe work procedures for all site operations. • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and monitor subcontractors to prevent potential workplace accidents. • Conduct daily toolbox meetings to keep site teams informed about current safety protocols and hazards. • Perform regular safety audits and generate reports to track compliance and identify areas for improvement. • Investigate unsafe acts or conditions and implement effective corrective actions to eliminate future site hazards. • Coordinate with management to establish robust health and safety policies that support project excellence. • Ensure all personnel follow mandatory personal protective equipment requirements to maintain a safe environment.

Job Requirements • Valid registration with the relevant national manpower authority. • Diploma in either mechanical or electrical engineering. • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on safety experience in the construction sector. • Strong working knowledge of local occupational health and safety laws. • Familiarity with maintaining ISO documentation standards for safety management. • Proven ability to work independently while managing tight deadlines and shift work. • Proficient computer literacy for generating safety reports and project documentation.
