Events & Partnerships Lead San Francisco · Growth · Full time

ABOUT OVERVIEW.AI http://OVERVIEW.AI

Overview.ai http://Overview.ai is bringing the cutting edge of AI computer vision to manufacturing, solving inspection problems that were previously not solvable with traditional machine vision. We're a full-stack company: we deploy GPU-powered cameras on production lines, run inference on the edge, and operate a platform that supports large fleets of devices deployed across the world.

We're growing extremely fast. Our customers love the product because it works: high accuracy, fast deployment, and an operator-friendly experience that makes real factory rollouts possible, not just pilots.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Manufacturing is a relationship-driven industry, and the best opportunities rarely come from cold outreach. They come from trade show floors, industry associations, systems integrators, and the technology partners whose platforms sit alongside ours. We already have the product and the demand. What we do not have is one person who owns those channels. Today that work is split across leadership and happens in the gaps. This role makes it a function.

WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING

- Build it, do not inherit it: No playbook, no existing team, no legacy program to maintain. You define what this function is at Overview, and you run it the way you think it should be run.

- Technical depth is the point: This is not a sponsorship coordinator role and not a traditional marketing role. Your credibility with integrators and controls engineers is the asset.

- Assets already waiting for an owner: Named technology partners, paid memberships we currently underuse, an integrator network we have not built out, and real demand from customers running in production.

- Founder access and equity upside: Direct line to leadership, and your work visibly changes the company's trajectory.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

- Event calendar and execution: Own our shows end to end (IMTS, Automate, Semicon, Electronica, plus customer-hosted and partner events), including booth strategy, logistics, staffing, and on-site execution, and you demo the product yourself.

- Event to pipeline motion: Build the repeatable mechanics behind every show: lead capture, structured follow-up, attribution in HubSpot, and ROI reported per event.

- Association relationships: Own our relationships with industry associations and trade organizations in the space, including the paid memberships we currently underuse.

- Technology partnerships: Own our Enterprise technology partner relationships including tier progression, joint content and co-marketing, mention approvals, and co-presence at events.

- Referral program: Build a referral path for our marketing and technology partners so brand and co-marketing work also produces sourced pipeline.

- Event assets: Own booth graphics, banners, and event signage. Product collateral, brochures, decks, one-pagers, and case studies sit with Technical Product Marketing, including event-specific versions, so you brief what you need rather than build it.

- Cross-functional partnerships: Align expectations and release dates between sales and marketing so event promotion and demos land against what is actually shipping.

WHO YOU ARE

Required

- You can stand on your own technically. Facilitate a live product demo, scope an inspection or integration use case, and hold a credible conversation with an integrator, controls engineer, or plant team with no sales engineer present.

- You learn hard technology fast, and you can prove it. You have entered an unfamiliar technical domain and reached real fluency quickly, with something to point to beyond your job description. If you do not come from manufacturing, this is what gets you in the room.

- You have owned a trade show, not just attended one. Booth through follow-up, at least once. You know what good looks like on a show floor, and you can tell us what the event produced and how you tracked it.

- You build from zero and ramp fast. You have stood up a program with no playbook, no team, and unclear scope, and you get productive without a structure waiting for you.

- You change your plan when the facts change. You take direct feedback and adjust in the moment rather than defending the original approach. You adopt how the team already works and improve on it rather than arriving with a fixed method.

- You can sell to people who do not live on tech Twitter. Our customers are plant managers, controls engineers, and quality teams at established manufacturers. Software startup growth and community playbooks do not land here, and you understand why.

- Willing to travel across North America and internationally, including Europe, to shows, customer sites, and partner organizations. Roughly 50% for the first two months and 25% ongoing.

- Based in San Francisco, or ready to relocate. You need to be close to the team and the hardware to build demos and run event logistics.

Strong Preferences

- Direct experience in machine vision, inspection, or industrial automation, as a vendor, at a systems integrator, or as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.

- Technical understanding of machine vision in manufacturing, and how these systems apply across different manufacturing applications.

- Co-marketing or co-sell experience with technology partners: joint webinars, co-marketing programs, or referral paths.

- Existing relationships with systems integrators, distributors, or manufacturing associations.

- Familiarity with HubSpot and modern GTM tooling.

WHY OVERVIEW.AI http://OVERVIEW.AI

- Extreme growth and real-world impact: We're not building demos. We're deploying AI systems on real production lines, at scale.

- Talent density: You'll work with world-class engineers and operators across AI, embedded systems, and enterprise deployment.

- Front-row seat to the AI manufacturing wave: One of the biggest transformations happening in industry right now.

- Ownership: Your work directly changes the trajectory of the company.

- Global exposure: You'll work with the most advanced customers and factories in the world.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
