The instructor will deliver a blended curriculum combining classroom instruction (~40% of hours) with intensive lab-based, skills-driven practice (~60% of hours), covering everything from foundational safety and trade math through conduit installation, device wiring, electrical theory, troubleshooting, and final evaluations.

This role requires an individual who can balance technical trade expertise with strong classroom facilitation skills, mentor early-career learners, and instill the safety culture, work ethic, and technical competencies required for success in commercial and data center construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Balance classroom instruction with hands-on lab time (targeting 60% lab hours per week) to reinforce theoretical concepts through applied practice. Teach and assess proficiency in: PPE use, jobsite safety, GFCI and continuity testing, trade math and blueprint/symbol literacy, tool identification and mastery, conduit layout/bending/installation (EMT/rigid), wire pulling and device wiring, meter reading, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, Ohm's Law and DC circuit theory (series/parallel/mixed), fault troubleshooting, and NEC code navigation. Facilitate OSHA 10 certification training and ensure all students complete required certification requirements. Guide students through a hands-on capstone build, including project documentation, upload/submission, and final presentation.

Safety Leadership Model and enforce jobsite safety culture at all times, including daily stretch & flex, pre-task briefs, hazard walks, and safety briefings. Ensure proper PPE use and safe tool/equipment handling throughout all lab sessions. Teach crew leadership and safety leadership principles appropriate for entry-level field roles

Student Development & Professional Readiness Deliver professional skills instruction including workplace wellness basics, financial literacy (paycheck basics, budgeting), job documentation (job logs, jobsite order/organization), and career pathway guidance. Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive, individualized feedback to prepare students for employment. Track and document student progress, skill verification/sign-offs, attendance, and completion records.

Assessment & Program Administration Administer skills verifications, knowledge checks, and the final evaluation/program review. Maintain accurate training records, certification documentation, and student performance evaluations. Provide feedback to program leadership on curriculum effectiveness and recommend improvements. Maintain lab equipment, tools, and materials in safe, working order; manage classroom/lab inventory.

Required Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a licensed/certified electrician with critical facility construction experience Valid Journeyman Electrician license Current OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain); must be qualified to deliver or coordinate OSHA 10 instruction to students. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and current code cycle. Demonstrated experience with conduit bending (EMT/rigid), wire pulling, device wiring, continuity/meter testing, and LOTO procedures. Strong understanding of basic DC electrical theory (Ohm's Law, series/parallel/mixed circuits). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to entry-level learners. Ability to create and adapt lesson plans, assess student competency, and maintain training documentation. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office required)

Preferred Qualifications: Valid Master Electrician license Experience working in data center construction environments. Instructor certification (e.g. adult education/vocational teaching credential). Experience with blueprint reading instruction, trade math instruction, or apprenticeship curriculum delivery.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in lab/field environments for extended periods. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
