The posting

OX Security secures the AI-driven SDLC from prompt to production. At OX, we're building the future of cybersecurity for the AI era.

We're looking for a Team Leader to lead our Agentic Pentest team. The team is building a new product: AI agents that autonomously test applications the way a real attacker would. It's a new space that evolves quickly, and you'll help shape both the product and how we build it.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll lead senior engineers, stay close to the code, and work with Product and customers to turn real security needs into a working platform.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, grow and mentor a team of senior backend engineers
  • Stay hands-on: write production code and take part in design and code reviews
  • Own architecture and design decisions for an agentic pentest platform: AI agents, task orchestration and scanning at scale
  • Work with Product and customers to turn requirements into clear technical plans, and deliver them with high quality
  • Set engineering standards for a new product built in an AI-first way

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years leading backend engineering teams (direct management of 3+ engineers)
  • 8+ years in backend engineering, including senior-level roles
  • Proven experience in security or in agentic AI systems (must): either a role at a cybersecurity product company or security/pentest firm, or hands-on experience building production AI agents (Harness, LLM tool calling, multi-step agents, MCPs) - beyond using AI coding tools
  • Hands-on in Node.js/TypeScript or another high-level backend language
  • Proven ability to guide architecture and technical decisions for complex systems
  • Strong ownership, independence and stakeholder management
  • Excellent English
  • AI-first mindset: daily, hands-on use of AI tools in your engineering work

Nice to Have

  • Offensive security background: pentest, DAST, vulnerability scanning, red-team or attack-simulation tooling
  • Experience with both security and agentic AI
  • Experience leading a team on a 0→1 product
