The posting

Join our team and experience how we lead with passion, positivity, and accountability to deliver the Right Talent. Right Now. We create an environment where you can think big, have fun and truly make a difference.

For more than 40 years, Oxford Global Resources has helped organizations solve complex business and technical challenges by connecting them with specialized expertise. We work across industries including technology, life sciences, engineering, and healthcare, providing services that range from individual staffing support to co-managed projects and fully managed programs.

Our work is built on understanding what each organization needs and bringing the right people and approach to the challenge. Behind that work are teams across Oxford who strengthen how we operate, support our people, and help us deliver for clients. If you’re looking for a place where your work connects to a larger purpose and has a visible impact, there’s an opportunity to do that here.

What We’re Looking For

Oxford is looking for an Account Executive to grow our Government Services business. You will build and expand relationships with government-focused clients, identify staffing and consulting opportunities that drive revenue, and position Oxford as a trusted partner for technical solutions in the government sector. This role does not supervise others and reports to the Director, Business Development. This role is onsite Monday thru Thursday in our D.C. office.

Day to day, you will work closely with our DSA and CS teams to connect client needs with the right talent, and you will serve as a strategic advisor by sharing market trends, rate data, and skill demand. We are looking for someone with experience in business development, government contracting, or IT staffing services, and a working understanding of how government work is staffed through prime contractors.

Washington, DC | Non-Exempt | Reports to the Director, Business Development

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing client managers.
  • Identify and pursue new business through outbound calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
  • Understand each client’s project needs, define the technical resources required, and propose qualified consultants.
  • Work closely with the DSA and CS teams so client needs and talent solutions stay aligned.
  • Educate clients on market trends, rate data, and skill demand to build trust and position Oxford as a strategic advisor.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, document key client activity, and monitor consultant usage trends and project timelines.
  • Facilitate contract terms, start dates, and billing arrangements for each consultant placement.

What You Bring to the Table:

Required

  • Three to seven years of experience staffing for government contracts or government agencies through prime contractors
  • Prior experience working with significant system integrators that provide IT consulting and services to the government
  • Understanding of cleared requirements and cleared resources
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work all hours necessary or required

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business
  • Experience with Salesforce, TargetRecruit, GovWin, ZoomInfo, or similar tools

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
