Als Mechanical Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en technisch uitwerken van nieuwe machines, onderdelen en mechanische constructies. Daarnaast werk je mee aan de verdere optimalisatie van bestaande productie-installaties.

Concreet betekent dit:

  • Mechanisch ontwerp en ontwikkeling: Je ontwerpt nieuwe machines, machineonderdelen en mechanische constructies en vertaalt functionele behoeften naar technisch haalbare oplossingen.
  • 3D-modellering en technische uitwerking: Je werkt concepten uit in SolidWorks en maakt gedetailleerde 3D-modellen, productietekeningen, samenstellingen en stuklijsten.
  • Mechanische berekeningen: Je voert technische berekeningen uit, waaronder sterkteberekeningen en materiaalberekeningen, en houdt rekening met belastingen, toleranties, functionaliteit en veiligheid.
  • Materiaal- en componentenkeuze: Je selecteert geschikte grondstoffen, materialen, aandrijvingen en mechanische componenten op basis van technische eigenschappen, duurzaamheid en maakbaarheid.
  • Prototyping en testing: Je begeleidt het volledige ontwikkelingstraject, van concept en ontwerp tot prototypebouw, testen, eventuele aanpassingen en uiteindelijke implementatie.
  • Machineoptimalisatie: Je analyseert mechanische problemen aan bestaande installaties en ontwikkelt structurele verbeteringen om de betrouwbaarheid, efficiëntie en levensduur van machines te verhogen.
  • Technische samenwerking: Je werkt nauw samen met collega's uit automatisatie, onderhoud en productie, evenals met externe leveranciers en machinebouwers.
  • Documentatie en opvolging: Je documenteert ontwerpkeuzes, berekeningen, technische wijzigingen en testresultaten en bewaakt de correcte uitvoering van jouw ontwerpen.
  • Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma in Mechanica, Elektromechanica, Werktuigbouwkunde of een vergelijkbare technische richting, of bent gelijkwaardig door relevante ervaring.
  • Je hebt meerdere jaren ervaring met het zelfstandig ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van machines, machineonderdelen of mechanische constructies.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van SolidWorks en ervaring met het opstellen van 3D-modellen, technische tekeningen en samenstellingen.
  • Je beschikt over een sterke mechanische basis en hebt ervaring met sterkteberekeningen, materiaalkeuze, belastingen en toleranties.
  • Je kunt technische problemen analyseren, functionele vereisten bepalen en deze vertalen naar concrete mechanische ontwerpen.
  • Je hebt ervaring met het volledige ontwikkelingsproces, van conceptontwikkeling en engineering tot prototyping, testing en realisatie.
  • Je hebt inzicht in productieprocessen, maakbaarheid en de praktische toepassing van mechanische constructies.
  • Je denkt analytisch en creatief, werkt nauwkeurig en zoekt steeds naar technisch haalbare en duurzame oplossingen.
  • Je neemt graag verantwoordelijkheid voor jouw projecten en werkt vlot samen met collega's uit verschillende technische disciplines.
