The Materials Planner is responsible for translating demand and inventory requirements into executable material plans that support production schedules and customer commitments. This role manages planning parameters, monitors material availability and inventory health, resolves supply constraints, and partners across functions to improve On-Time Delivery, working capital, and planning performance.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain and is part of the Materials Planning department located in Boulder, CO, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and maintain material plans that align supply with production requirements, customer demand, and inventory targets.
  • Monitor material availability, planning signals, and inventory health; identify shortages, excess, and obsolescence risks and drive timely resolution.
  • Optimize SAP planning parameters, stocking levels, and order quantities using demand patterns, lead times, service requirements, and business priorities.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Scheduling, Customer Care, and other supply chain teams to resolve constraints and support reliable On-Time Delivery.
  • Use data, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods to strengthen planning accuracy, inventory performance, standard work, and system capabilities.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in materials planning, supply planning, inventory management, supply chain, or operations.
  • Experience using an enterprise resource planning system, such as SAP, to manage material requirements planning, inventory, and planning parameters.
  • Experience analyzing demand, inventory, lead-time, and supply data to identify shortages, excess inventory, and material risks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable data-analysis tools for planning, reporting, and decision support.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM).

The annual salary range for this role is $85,000-$110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
