Pan American Grain es una empresa que se desempeña desde hace 45 años en el negocio de importación, procesamiento, manufactura y distribución de alimentos y otros productos (Arroz Rico, Café Mami, Gasolina Party Pouch, Pan American Wine and Spirits, Harina Rico, Café del Patio, fertilizantes). Actualmente posee 4 molinos para procesar granos, 5 plantas manufactureras, 2 facilidades portuarias, 5 almacenes de granos y 1 torrefactora de café. Contamos con facilidades en Guaynabo (Oficinas Centrales), Bayamón, Cataño, Toa Baja, Vega Alta, Coamo y Guánica.

El Oficial de Seguridad de Construcción es responsable de coordinar, supervisar y gestionar las actividades de los trabajadores en un sitio de construcción, manufactura u otros entornos industriales. Trabajará en proyectos de obra civil, para gestionar el cumplimiento de los aspectos legales, regulatorios, y operacionales afines a la prevención y control de riesgos. Su función principal es garantizar un entorno de trabajo seguro para todos los empleados, contratistas y visitantes en el sitio de construcción. Serás responsable de implementar y hacer cumplir políticas y procedimientos de seguridad, identificar y mitigar riesgos, y promover una cultura de seguridad proactiva entre todos los trabajadores.

Funciones:

· Organizar y facilitar sesiones de capacitación en seguridad para nuevos empleados y contratistas. Proporcionar actualizaciones regulares sobre procedimientos de seguridad y mejores prácticas.

· Investigar accidentes, incidentes y cerca de accidentes en el sitio de construcción. Documentar hallazgos, determinar causas raíz y recomendar acciones correctivas para prevenir futuros incidentes.

· Desarrollar y mantener planes de acción para emergencias como incendios, evacuaciones y primeros auxilios. Coordinar simulacros periódicos para asegurar la preparación del personal.

· Realizar analisis de riesgo en los trabajos a realizarse.

· Mantener registros precisos de todas las actividades relacionadas con la seguridad, incluyendo inspecciones, incidentes, capacitaciones y medidas correctivas implementadas.

· Supervisar las actividades diarias de los trabajadores en el sitio.

· Asegurarse de que se cumple con las regulaciones de OSHA.

· Realizar inspecciones y evaluaciones de condiciones y conductas de riesgos con el propósito de proponer soluciones a los problemas.

· Monitorear el progreso del trabajo para asegurarse de que se cumplan los plazos.

· Identificar y resolver problemas de seguridad que puedan afectar al personal y terceras personas.

Requirements

· Educación – Programa de Especialista en Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional, preferiblemente o Cuarto Año Escuela Secundaria y 2-4 años de experiencia.

· Familiaridad con normativas de seguridad OSHA u otras regulaciones locales.

· Habilidad para realizar evaluaciones de riesgos y recomendaciones de seguridad.

· Experiencia previa en seguridad en la industria de la construcción es preferible.

· 30 horas de OSHA en la Industria de Construccion, requerido.

· Mínimo de 3-5 años de experiencia en construcción, manufactura o un campo relacionado

· Conocimiento profundo de los procesos y prácticas de construcción o manufactura.

· Habilidades sólidas en liderazgo y capacidad para gestionar y motivar a un equipo.

· Dominio de los programas de MS Office (word, excel y power point)
