Panorama Mountain Resort seeks a multi-talented Graphic Designer who is a passionate creative, but who is also pragmatic and results focused. If you’re someone who loves translating ideas into inspiring visuals, can calmly handle a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating professional designs that capture attention and make people feel something, we’d love to hear from you.   As a key member of the marketing team, you’ll help champion the Panorama brand and tell the story of what makes this mountain resort unique. Through thoughtful graphic design and technical expertise, you’ll create work that inspires guests to discover, experience and return to Panorama—across print and digital marketing initiatives.   Your primary focus will be Graphic design and pre-production (90%), complemented by general marketing support (10%). These priorities may change as required with business needs throughout the year.   To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong practical marketing/communications background, with a particular passion for visual storytelling. You’ll have an acute understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud and the technical skills to take creative concepts from ideas to polished final product. Experience in the tourism and hospitality sector is essential.   Most importantly, this is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in all aspects of resort marketing alongside a team of professionals who genuinely live and breathe the mountain experience. You’ll work with people who think—and talk—about skiing, snowboarding, golf, mountain biking and everything that makes Panorama special every day.   Responsibilities: Design and pre-production:

Work with the marketing manager to deliver purpose-built original designs with minimal supervision. Meet with team managers & directors to determine requirements and vision for design elements, which may include multiple strategy meetings and multiple iterations of design. Create on-resort communication pieces making sure there is a concerted effort to reach those guests who can have the greatest impact on Panorama’s success. These include maps, signage, decals, and promotional materials. Develop engaging, brand-aligned marketing materials for prospective guests and partners across print and digital channels, including sales sheets, brochures and collateral, print- and web-ready PDFs, trade show displays, presentations, digital advertisements, email graphics, website graphics, digital signage, and other campaign creative developed in collaboration with the communications team. Interpret strategic direction into high-quality design that is in harmony with an established brand identity. Develop and evolve emerging brands within Panorama’s established family of brands, applying creative thinking and strategic direction to build distinct identities that remain aligned with the overall brand. Ensure design work is successfully completed on time, on budget and on trend. Review finalized materials with the director to ensure there are no errors and attain approval prior to production. Coordinate with production (print houses or agencies) to prepare the materials for output.

  General marketing support:

Work with the sales and marketing team to gain an intimate knowledge of the business to anticipate needs and develop materials to explore opportunities with the goal of growing the business. Actively participate in team meetings and strategy sessions to provide suggestions on how to best deliver results through design executions and establish deliverables. Assist in other non-design marketing tasks such as photo shoot support, visual asset development, promotional signage installations, and VIP hosting support. Other duties as assigned by the marketing manager.

  Experience / Requirements:

A university/college degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related discipline. A minimum one year of experience in design and communications, including end-to-end design and production preferably in a tourism or hospitality environment. Strong understanding of the full design process from concept through to production is an asset. Proficient in Adobe creative suite apps, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Basic understanding of Abode Lightroom. Articulate English speaker with very strong writing and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and able to calmly work under pressure while handling multiple projects at once. Comfortable and enthusiastic in an innovative organization that is constantly undergoing positive change and adaptation. An ability to respond quickly to requests, ideas, and suggestions in a non-defensive way. High energy levels with the drive to make things happen. Willing and available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. An active interest in snow sports, mountain biking and other mountain resort leisure activities.

  Key Relationships: EXTERNAL: Sign shops and printing houses, agency partners (design and paid media), tourism bodies (DMOs). INTERNAL: Sales and Marketing team members, senior management, and leaders of Panorama Mountain Resort business units.
