Our school prides itself on promoting kindness, resilience and inclusion, and we are seeking someone who will share these values and take real pride in maintaining our learning environment.

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the day-to-day experience of our pupils, staff and visitors. No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our school remains safe, secure and well maintained.

The Role

  • Supporting the school's health and safety compliance, including maintaining records and completing routine checks.
  • Monitoring and checking deliveries.
  • Carrying out a range of cleaning and caretaking duties.
  • Liaising with contractors and supporting site projects.
  • Responding to occasional out-of-hours emergencies and supporting school lettings arrangements (overtime payable).

The role involves some manual handling and lifting, so applicants should be physically fit and able to work across our spacious school site.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is practical, organised and self-motivated.
  • Can work independently and use their own initiative.
  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is confident using ICT systems or is willing to learn (full training will be provided).
  • Takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail.
  • Has a flexible and positive approach, coupled with a good sense of humour.
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive school community.

Occasional use of a personal vehicle may be required; mileage expenses will be reimbursed.

What We Offer

  • A welcoming and supportive team.
  • The opportunity to work in a school that is at the heart of its local community.
  • A varied and rewarding role where you can make a real impact.
  • Training and professional support.
  • 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Overtime opportunities where applicable.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
