IT Assistant / Network Administrator Assistant
Parkway Family Auto Group | Based in Tomball, TX — Supporting All Group Locations Pay: $14–$18 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary:
Parkway Family Auto Group is seeking a dependable and motivated IT Assistant / Network Administrator Assistant to support daily technology operations across all locations within our multi-rooftop, multi-OEM automotive group. Working under the direction of the IT Manager, this position will assist with employee technical support, computer and equipment setup, basic network troubleshooting, and routine technology maintenance.
The primary office for this position is in Tomball, TX, with responsibilities extending to all Parkway locations through remote technical assistance and on-site support as needed.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, helping others, and learning new technology. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in IT support and network administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees across all Parkway locations experiencing issues with computers, software, printers, scanners, phones, and other technology.
- Assist employees remotely and provide on-site support at other company locations as assigned by the IT Manager.
- Set up, configure, and relocate computers, monitors, workstations, and related equipment.
- Assist with approved software installations, updates, and routine equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshoot basic internet, Wi-Fi, and wired network connectivity issues, escalating more complex concerns to the IT Manager.
- Assist with network cabling, equipment connections, labeling, and organization as directed.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding through equipment preparation, workstation setup, and authorized account changes.
- Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, and communicate the status of outstanding issues.
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory by location and organize IT supplies, spare equipment, and work areas.
- Follow company security procedures and protect confidential employee, customer, and business information.
- Work with the IT Manager, location leadership, and approved vendors to resolve technical issues and complete assigned projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and works under the direction of the IT Manager.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, computer hardware, and common office equipment.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts, including wired connections, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches, is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, follow instructions, and recognize when additional technical assistance is needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including patience when assisting employees with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage support requests across multiple locations.
- Dependable attendance, professional conduct, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to travel to other company locations as needed.
- Previous IT support experience, technical coursework, or relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus but is not required.
Ability to Commute/Relocate:
Tomball, TX: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. This position is based on-site in Tomball and supports all Parkway Family Auto Group locations. Travel to other company locations may be required for technical support, equipment setup, and assigned projects.
