BIM Engineer / Specialist

Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Engineer / Specialist to join our team in Qatar! In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, coordination, management, and quality control of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure BIM models, data, and deliverables meet project requirements, applicable standards, and client expectations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the implementation and management of BIM processes and workflows across project disciplines.
  • Reviewing, coordinating, and maintaining BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Performing model coordination activities and identifying design clashes, inconsistencies, and constructability issues.
  • Supporting multidisciplinary coordination between roads, drainage, utilities, structures, landscape, and other project disciplines.
  • Reviewing contractor BIM deliverables, models, and related documentation for compliance with project standards and requirements.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of BIM execution plans, model standards, and project workflows.
  • Coordinating model updates and ensuring models remain aligned with the latest approved design and construction information.
  • Generating drawings, reports, schedules, quantities, and other project outputs from BIM models as required.
  • Supporting project teams in the use of BIM tools, collaboration platforms, and digital project workflows.
  • Assisting in the validation of as-built models and ensuring project information is accurately incorporated into BIM deliverables.
  • Monitoring BIM quality assurance processes and ensuring compliance with project standards and procedures.
  • Coordinating with engineers, designers, contractors, and project stakeholders on BIM-related matters.
  • Supporting project reporting requirements related to BIM implementation and model development progress.
  • Maintaining accurate project records, model files, and BIM documentation.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives related to BIM processes and digital project delivery.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, BIM, Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 14 years of professional experience, including 5 years in a similar BIM Engineer / Specialist role.
  • Experience supporting BIM implementation and coordination on infrastructure, transportation, or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM principles, standards, workflows, and model coordination processes.
  • Proficiency in BIM software and platforms such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD, and related applications.
  • Experience performing model reviews, clash detection, model coordination, and BIM quality assurance activities.
  • Familiarity with BIM execution plans, model management processes, and digital project delivery requirements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must be MMUP/MME certified in Qatar.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Experience delivering major roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects in Qatar or the GCC region.
  • Familiarity with local authority BIM requirements, digital engineering standards, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure construction supervision or design projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and BIM information management principles.
  • Experience developing BIM standards, procedures, and workflows.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve project efficiency through effective BIM implementation and digital coordination.
