General Summary

The Outdoor Gear Repair Prep Associate plays an important role in preparing customers’ Patagonia garments and gear for repair. This position carefully deconstructs products by removing stitching from broken zippers, opening seams around damaged areas, removing seam tape, and preparing the repair area so it is ready for an Outdoor Gear Repair Specialist. Repair is a significant part of Patagonia’s service strategy. It extends the life of our products, keeps gear in use longer, and helps preserve the stories and memories our customers have created in them. Sometimes, we are repairing memories as much as we are repairing clothes. This work requires attention to detail, patience, technical skills, and care for both the product and the customer. Deconstruction must be completed to exacting standards while avoiding unnecessary damage to the garment or gear. The Repairs department provides a robust training program to help employees develop the technical knowledge and skills needed to work confidently across the Patagonia product line.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
