The Company

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

PayPal is looking for a commercially minded Manager,Channel Partner to own and grow our existing partner portfolio in Australia, including live eCommerce platform, PSP and software partners that bring merchants to PayPal. The focus is on deepening the partnerships we already have, not signing new ones.

You will lead programs that move partners and their merchants onto PayPal’s latest stack and bring on merchants not yet using PayPal, while keeping each partner relationship healthy and passing higher-value opportunities to our BDR and sales teams.

This is a hands-on, commercial role within a small, senior team, not an administration or reporting position. You will report to the Head of Channel Partnerships and Business Development, work across Product, Solutions and Integration, Marketing, Legal, Risk, and the Enterprise and SMB sales teams, and be accountable for delivering measurable, incremental volume.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead functional sales development projects and programs.
  • Partner with others to analyze business trends.
  • Recommend best practices for sales development.
  • Contribute to business or process improvements.
  • Mentor and guide team members to achieve sales objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing a portfolio of live channel, platform, PSP, ISV or agency partners in payments, fintech, eCommerce or SaaS, with a track record of growing partner-sourced volume or revenue. Strong commercial and negotiation skills, including agreeing upgrade plans, incentives, revenue share and renewals with senior partner stakeholders, and persuading partners to change integrations that already work for them.

A working understanding of merchant payments, including checkout, API and SDK integrations, onboarding and KYC flows, and Pay Later products, with the ability to translate between partner engineers and Product. Data-driven and marketing-minded, comfortable using Salesforce and BI tools to size opportunities and build partner scorecards, and designing partner-led and co-marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results.

Strong project and stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Finance and Sales, with the ability to run several partner programs at once and hold partners and internal teams to dates. Knowledge of the ANZ eCommerce and payments ecosystem (platforms, PSPs, accounting and business software, agencies) is a strong advantage. A builder’s mindset and excellent written and verbal communication, including with senior partner executives, with a habit of documenting what works and creating repeatable playbooks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
