JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE Responsible for overseeing the go-to-market operational strategy, product/service marketing, service delivery, vendor procurement interface and performance. Ensure business operations are aligned with the company's strategic objectives while driving operational excellence, scalability, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Accountable for optimizing performance, enhancing efficiency, building high-performing teams, and ensuring the operations area infrastructure, systems, and processes are in place to support sustainable growth. The COO serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, driving transformation, operational innovation and effectiveness while maintaining a strong focus on financial performance and customer outcomes. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Executive Leadership & Strategy
Partner with the CEO and other members of the executive leadership team to define and execute strategic growth objectives, and business priorities. Lead the development and execution of operational strategies that support long-term organizational goals and objectives. Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on operational performance, organizational effectiveness, and business risks. Drive alignment, accountability, and execution across all areas of responsibility.
Operational Leadership & Execution
Provide executive oversight for all operational functions, ensuring seamless execution of business objectives, vendor procurement interface and customer commitments. Establish scalable operating models and structures to support business growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Ensure alignment and collaboration across key functions to include Sales, Services, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Support, Technology, and other business operations. Lead operational planning processes and ensure effective execution against company goals and priorities. Oversee operational risk management, business continuity planning, and organizational readiness initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Champion a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Drive process optimization initiatives to improve productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Implement and monitor operational performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to drive data-based decision-making. Lead cross-functional efforts to streamline workflows, improve systems integration, and eliminate operational bottlenecks. Establish and promote best practices utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.
Financial Performance & Business Results
Develop area budgets, forecasts and resource allocation strategies. Drive operational efficiency initiatives that improve margins, optimize costs, and support revenue growth objectives. Ensure disciplined execution of financial and operational plans to achieve P&L and business performance targets. Monitor performance and implement corrective actions when required to achieve desired outcomes. Balance growth, service quality, employee engagement, and financial performance to maximize enterprise value.
Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
Build, lead, and develop a world-class leadership team capable of delivering exceptional business results. Establish succession planning, leadership development, and talent management strategies across the organization. Create a culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, employee engagement, and high performance. Mentor and coach teams to strengthen operational capabilities and leadership effectiveness. Ensure operations structures, resources, and talent are aligned to support current and future business needs.
Growth, Transformation & Innovation
Lead area planning and execution for strategic growth initiatives, including market expansion, business integration, and operational scaling. Drive area transformation initiatives that improve agility, efficiency, and competitiveness. Oversee operations integration and/or due diligence activities and build strategic partnerships. Partner with customer-facing leaders to ensure operational capabilities and act as the product general manager for services that support growth objectives and customer expectations. Foster innovation through technology enablement, automation, digital transformation, and process modernization.
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE + KEY TRAITS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field required. MBA or other advanced degrees strongly preferred. 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in operations, business management, supply chain, services, manufacturing, distribution, or related disciplines. Proven experience serving as a senior leader with broad responsibility for enterprise operations and business performance. Demonstrated success leading large, complex organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and operational optimization. Strong financial acumen with extensive experience managing budgets, forecasts, profitability, and enterprise performance metrics. Experience leading multi-site, multi-functional, or geographically dispersed operations. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans while driving operational excellence and organizational effectiveness. Experience within high-growth, private equity-backed, or rapidly scaling organizations preferred. Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision and hands-on execution. Data-driven decision maker with strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities. Collaborative, influential, and results-oriented executive who inspires high performance and drives organizational success.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Primary language used in daily operations is English. Additional primary company languages include Spanish, French, and Dutch. SUPERVISION
Role involves management of between 5-10 direct reports across multiple geographic locations Frequent travel between 25% - 50% is required to internal company locations as well as external company / vendor locations
