Job Description

Job Requisition: Service Owner

About the role

We're looking for a Product Owner to help shape and deliver our platform. You'll turn business needs into clear priorities, guide the team from idea to release, and make sure what we build creates real value for customers and colleagues. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders, and you'll be trusted to take ownership of your product area from start to finish.

What you'll do

  • Own the product backlog. Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritize work based on value, risk, and effort.
  • Set and communicate the product vision and roadmap and keep them current as needs change.
  • Use Jira Product Discovery to capture ideas, evaluate options, and share the reasoning behind priorities.
  • Partner with engineering teams throughout delivery. You'll help clear blockers, answer questions quickly, and make sure releases meet the agreed outcomes.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders. You'll gather their needs, manage expectations, and explain trade-offs and decisions in plain language.
  • Document requirements, decisions, and processes in Confluence so others can find and use them.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to speed up research, drafting, analysis, and backlog refinement, while checking the quality of the results.
  • Track product performance using data and feedback, then use what you learn to improve the product.
  • Raise risks and dependencies early and follow through on your commitments.
  • Engage with architecture, development engineers and QE to provide the best quality product/features

What you bring

Required

  • At least five years of experience in product ownership or product management in a fast-paced organization.
  • A solid grounding in core product management practices, including discovery, road mapping, prioritization, backlog management, and agile delivery.
  • An understanding of how platforms are built and delivered, including how releases, integrations, and dependencies fit together.
  • A proactive approach. You spot problems and opportunities before you're asked, and you take accountability for outcomes, including when things don't go to plan.
  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, in writing and in conversation.
  • Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Product Discovery, and Confluence.
  • Ability to use artificial intelligence tools in your everyday work.
  • Has showcased leadership skills and shipped successful products.
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Preferred
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform
  • Experience in financial technology, or in another regulated, data-sensitive environment.
  • Product Owner or agile certification (for example, Certified Scrum Product Owner).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
