As a remote-first company recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Startup Employers and by Built In as a 2025 and 2026 Best Place to Work, we are a global team of "Peeksters" who "Obsess Over Our Customers," "Accomplish Big Things," "Collaborate With Purpose," and "Get Better Every Day.

THE ROLE:

We work on several systems: our ACME operations management suite, embeddable scheduling and booking widgets, B2B and B2C sales and support tooling, and custom solutions for enterprise operators. The work is technically varied and the stakes are real: operators depend on this software to run their businesses.

We’re hiring a Senior Quality Engineer who works AI-first. That means you treat AI as a core part of how you build test cases, build automated tests, break down ambiguous problems, delegate to agents, review their work critically, create test data, and course-correct when things go sideways.

Over the past few months, we've seen a step-function improvement in the reliability and capabilities of long-running AI agents. We're adapting our engineering practice to match, and we want quality engineers who are already building this way and excited to push it further.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Architect and break down ambiguous product problems into concrete, well-scoped test cases and test plans, owning work from design through production release.

- Contribute to our AI-first engineering culture, share patterns, document what works, and help the team level up on how we build with AI.

- Use AI tools fluently - Claude Code, Augment or equivalent, to compress implementation time, then critically review everything that comes out of them.

- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to identify gaps in specs, surface edge cases early, and push back when something isn't ready to ship.

- Set the quality bar: well-structured, maintainable code; conduct thorough code reviews; maintain adequate test coverage; and catch bugs AI introduced before they reach production.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

- 5+ years of professional experience in QA Automation Engineering

- Proven experience leading and owning automation initiatives in technology or SaaS environments

- Proven experience in end-to-end test automation

- Experience building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks Technical Skills - Advanced experience with Playwright (or similar frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium) - Strong proficiency in JavaScript - Experience with BDD / Gherkin syntax and implementation - Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch - Solid understanding of API testing and end-to-end testing practices - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) - Strong knowledge of QA automation best practices, including test design, framework maintainability, scalability, and driving architectural decisions for automation frameworks and tooling - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development/testing tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Augment, or similar) Soft Skills & Mindset - Strong automation-first mindset and passion for quality engineering - Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and transparent approach - Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams (QA, Engineering, Product) - Curious, continuous learner with a technophile mindset - Comfortable sharing knowledge and mentoring others

NICE TO HAVES

- Experience with performance or load testing

- Experience working in complex or high-scale product environments

- Background in the travel, hospitality, or experiences industry.

- iOS testing

- iOS automation with XCUITest / XCTest in Xcode + Swift

WHAT WE VALUE

A few things that define how we build:

- Judgment over speed. AI compresses implementation time. What differentiates quality engineers now isn't typing speed or memorized syntax, it's the ability to make the right calls on what to test, how to test it, and when it's not ready to ship.

- Ownership. You tested it? You own it. That includes AI-generated code. You know when to use agents and when to do it yourself. You know how to add additional touch points to your test cases and see the larger picture of the feature changes.

- Directness. We want people who ask hard questions, surface problems early, and are willing to push back on a bad spec rather test it and hope for the best.

- Quality as a way of life and an eye to security.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
