We have an opportunity for a Salesforce Solution Architect to join our Golden Valley, MN team. This role is a fully remote position. The Salesforce Solution Architect will establish solution vision, architecture governance, integration strategies, data management frameworks, and platform adoption across the Pool business ecosystem. The role partners with business leaders, product owners, Salesforce administrators, developers, enterprise architects, SAP and Oracle teams, and implementation partners to ensure solutions align with Pentair's business strategy, digital transformation priorities, and technology roadmap.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep technical expertise and communicates effectively with executives, business stakeholders, and delivery teams while advancing platform innovation, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:
Business and Digital Transformation Leadership
- Serve as the primary Salesforce architecture leader for the Pool business segment.
- Develop and maintain multi-year Salesforce solution roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service, Channel, Operations, and business leadership teams.
- Lead discovery sessions, solution workshops, architecture reviews, and technology option assessments.
- Translate business strategies into scalable technology capabilities and measurable outcomes.
- Drive platform rationalization and standardization across business processes.
Salesforce Solution Architecture
- Design enterprise-grade solutions across Manufacturing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Lifecycle Management, and Tableau.
- Define architectural patterns, reference architectures, guardrails, and solution standards.
- Evaluate business requirements and determine the best-fit platform, integration, data, and security approaches.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce and Pentair architecture practices.
- Lead architecture governance, design reviews, and technical decision documentation.
- Manufacturing Cloud Leadership
- Lead strategy and solution architecture for Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud.
- Design account forecasting, sales agreement, rebate, and customer demand planning capabilities.
- Drive adoption of Manufacturing Cloud across Pool commercial organizations.
- Align manufacturing, customer planning, revenue forecasting, and account management processes.
Agentforce and Artificial Intelligence
- Define the Agentforce and Salesforce AI architecture roadmap for the Pool segment.
- Identify processes suitable for AI agents, digital assistants, recommendations, and intelligent automation.
- Design governed AI use cases for customer self-service, sales enablement, service operations, knowledge management, order Partner with security, privacy, data, and compliance stakeholders to establish responsible AI controls and operating practices.
- Evaluate Salesforce AI capabilities and recommend adoption strategies based on business value, risk, and readiness.
- Data Cloud and Customer 360 Strategy
- Design customer data architectures using Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Define data ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, segmentation, calculated insights, and activation patterns.
- Enable unified customer profiles, advanced personalization, analytics, and cross-channel engagement.
- Establish data governance, quality, lineage, retention, and access standards in partnership with enterprise data teams.
Marketing Cloud Architecture
- Design and oversee Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations and enhancements.
- Lead customer journey architecture, campaign orchestration, lead management, consent, and segmentation strategies.
- Define integration patterns among Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM, Data Cloud, websites, SAP, Oracle, and external platforms.
- Support customer lifecycle engagement and marketing analytics capabilities.
- Salesforce CPQ and Commercial Excellence
- Lead Salesforce CPQ architecture and quote-to-cash solution strategy.
- Design product catalog, configuration, pricing, discounting, approvals, contracts, and amendment frameworks.
- Partner with commercial leaders to improve pricing governance, seller experience, quote accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Assess opportunities to modernize commercial capabilities using Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Lifecycle Management.
Enterprise Integrations
- Design integration strategies between Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, e-commerce, customer portals, data platforms, marketing systems, and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with integration teams to define API-led, event-driven, batch, and middleware patterns.
- Help establish canonical data models, system-of-record ownership, error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation approaches.
- Ensure integrations are resilient, scalable, observable, and secure.
Analytics and Tableau
- Lead reporting and analytics architecture across Salesforce and Tableau.
- Design executive dashboards, operational reports, semantic models, and KPI frameworks.
- Partner with business leaders to define trusted and actionable metrics for Sales, Marketing, Service, Channel, and Operations.
- Promote self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making while maintaining governance.
Governance and Technical Leadership
- Establish and maintain Salesforce architectural standards and best practices.
- Lead technical reviews for strategic programs, projects, and platform enhancements.
- Mentor architects, administrators, developers, business analysts, and product owners.
- Promote sound DevSecOps, release governance, environment strategy, testing, and technical debt management.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data, Infrastructure, and vendor partners.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, statements of work, and strategic technology assessments.
Key Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of Salesforce experience, including 5+ years in a Salesforce Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Enterprise Architect, or comparable architecture role.
- Experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions in complex, large-scale enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated expertise across Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, Salesforce CPQ, and Tableau reporting.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle applications, data platforms, and middleware or enterprise integration platforms.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, security, identity, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience leading distributed delivery teams, implementation partners, and architecture workstreams.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to both executives and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect.
- Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant, CPQ Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant, or relevant AI/Agentforce certification.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, dealer or channel operations, or B2B commercial environments.
- Experience supporting global organizations and harmonizing solutions across regions and business units.
- Experience with MuleSoft or comparable enterprise integration platforms and modern API management practices.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $98400 - $182700 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
