Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Officer / Accounts Executive to support day-to-day accounting operations, payments, taxation, compliance, audit requirements, and financial record management. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate accounting entries, maintain complete supporting documentation, assist with tax and audit activities, and efficiently handle assigned finance projects and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post daily accounting entries in Odoo, including vendor invoices, payments, taxation-related entries, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and perform regular reconciliation of POS transactions and accounting records for clients.
  • Ensure client-related accounting records and supporting documents are properly filed, complete, and up to date.
  • Process payments for vendors, rent, utilities, internet bills, and other operational expenses accurately and within required timelines.
  • Prepare and post payment vouchers in Odoo and maintain complete supporting documentation for all payments.
  • Coordinate and forward tax challans and other required documentation for timely payments.
  • Support the preparation of sales tax and withholding tax (WHT) returns and ensure required tax data is prepared on time for Pakistan, Afghanistan, and UAE operations.
  • Prepare and issue income tax certificates for employees and clients within required deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and organized taxation records for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Provide accurate schedules, reconciliations, reports, and supporting information for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports are audit-ready and compliance files are properly maintained.
  • Perform daily reconciliations and promptly identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
  • Complete ad hoc assignments and special projects assigned by the Assistant Manager/Manager Accounts within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare required financial data and reports for management while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality of deliverables.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal standards.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Professional or partially completed qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or a similar role.
  • Practical experience in accounting entries, payments, reconciliations, taxation, audit support, and financial documentation is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Odoo or similar ERP/accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with sales tax, withholding tax, income tax documentation, and compliance requirements is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to meet reporting and payment deadlines.
