Position: Business Development Director (Medical Device)

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Business Development Director to lead their efforts in expanding market presence and driving revenue growth in the medical device sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device sales and a proven track record of successful business development. The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating business opportunities, establishing key partnerships, and driving the overall success of our medical device division.

Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth within the medical device industry. Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
  2. Business Development: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  3. Product Launch and Marketing: Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute product launches. Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote medical device products effectively.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and ensure that all medical device products comply with relevant standards. Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
  5. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless product development and delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus. Proven experience in business development within the medical device industry.
