Supplier Industrialization Engineer (SIE) – Mechanical & Electromechanical

Focus: Mechanical, Top-Level Assembly (TLA) & Motor Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer (SIE) to scale mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing from prototype through high-volume global production. This role acts as a technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, driving DFM/DFA, supplier readiness, automation, and quality execution.

Experience in motor manufacturing (winding, lamination stack, soldering, electromechanical assemblies) is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Development & Industrialization

  • Qualify, audit, and develop global suppliers for:
  • Motors and magnetic assemblies (winding, insulation, balancing)
  • Thermal systems (heat pipes, fans, housings)
  • Injection, blow, and foam molding
  • High-volume metal processes (die casting, forging, stamping, sheet metal)
  • Precision assemblies (cameras, sensors, antennas)
  • Lead supplier readiness from NPI through mass production
  • Drive tooling strategy, automation readiness, and yield improvement

Quality & Compliance

  • Own supplier quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949)
  • Lead pFMEA, SPC, PPAP, DOE, and Gage R&R activities
  • Investigate factory and field issues; drive root cause and corrective actions
  • Use statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, R/Python) to track performance and reduce defects
  • Manufacturing Readiness & Process Optimization
  • Partner with design teams to embed DFM/DFA early in development
  • Optimize process flows for motor and electromechanical assemblies
  • Define semi-automated and fully automated manufacturing lines
  • Develop End-of-Line (EOL) testing and in-process inspection strategies

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in Supplier Industrialization, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Motor manufacturing (winding, lamination, soldering)
  • Electromechanical assemblies
  • High-volume mechanical production
  • Solid understanding of tooling, fixtures, and GD&T
  • Experience with NPI ramp, supplier audits, and process qualification
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
  • Data-driven mindset with strong statistical analysis capability
  • Effective communicator across engineering, operations, and supplier teams

This position offers a hands-on opportunity to directly impact manufacturing scalability, quality, and production readiness across complex mechanical and electromechanical systems, working closely with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
