The posting

Are you experienced in B2B business development within the food, beverage, ingredients, flavors, or related solutions industry? This opportunity is ideal for a strategic, commercially driven professional who can build long-term relationships with key customers across the region.

We are looking for a Business Developer for Central America, based in Costa Rica, to manage and expand strategic customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and lead regional initiatives that drive profitable growth across the current portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic accounts, ensuring sales growth and profitability.
  • Develop commercial plans aligned with customer priorities and business objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new opportunities within the food and beverage industry.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, agreements, and business conditions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute regional projects and deliver value-added solutions to customers.
  • Manage sales forecasts, budgets, project pipeline, and key commercial performance indicators.

Profile requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Licentiate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Food Science/Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in Key Account Management, B2B sales, business development, or customer relationship management.
  • Proven experience in the food and beverage industry; experience in ingredients, flavors, chemical solutions, or related portfolios is highly valued.
  • Experience managing relevant customer portfolios, ideally above USD 5 million, and commercial projects between USD 500,000 and USD 1 million.
  • Strong negotiation, numerical analysis, sales forecasting, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% within Central America and LATAM.
  • Own vehicle and valid passport required.
