Senior Compliance Officer — Cryptoasset Regulation

Paybis is looking for a senior regulatory compliance specialist to own substantive cryptoasset authorisation and implementation work across the EU and the UK.

This is not an operational KYC or transaction-monitoring role. You will personally draft regulator-facing materials, respond to regulatory questions and translate licence commitments into controls that work in practice.

What you will own

  • MiCA/CASP implementation and maintenance of the MiCA policy framework.
  • UK cryptoasset registration and authorisation work, including FCA submissions and responses to regulatory RFIs.
  • The TFR / Travel Rule framework and its operational implementation.
  • Blockchain-analytics control documentation, including methodology, thresholds and exposure attribution.
  • DORA and operational-resilience documentation in partnership with ICT.
  • Regulatory assessment of new cryptoassets, chains, custody models and counterparties.
  • Jersey VASP registration support when prioritised.
  • Regulatory requirement matrices, evidence rooms and verified closure of regulatory commitments.

What we are looking for

  • At least five years of regulatory compliance experience, including significant experience inside a regulated cryptoasset, VASP or comparable financial-services business.
  • Hands-on MiCA/CASP, FCA cryptoasset or comparable NCA-licensed VASP experience.
  • Experience taking an authorisation or registration through submission and regulator review.
  • Personal authorship of substantive regulator-facing policies, control descriptions, risk assessments or application materials.
  • Practical knowledge of the Travel Rule and blockchain-analytics control design.
  • Ability to navigate primary legislation and regulatory guidance independently.
  • Strong professional English and concise written drafting.

Operational KYC, CDD or transaction-monitoring experience alone is not sufficient. CAMS, ICA or similar certifications are welcome, but drafting quality and authorisation experience matter more.

Working model

  • Location: approved European engagement locations; remote or hybrid.
  • Working hours: at least four hours of overlap with the European working day.

  • Compensation: EUR3,000–EUR4,000 gross per month.
  • Start: as soon as possible.
